Effect of the mezieres method on trunk flexibility in fifth grade students of the Dario Salas school.

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of Mezieres method on flexibility trunk in students of public school in Talca, Chile. The sample consists of 26 students of whom 11 are women and 15 men, aged 10 to 11 years. These were subjected to an intervention of 12 sessions of Mezieres test method and the modified Wells and Dillon test. The data obtained were analyzed using mean and standard deviation of flexibility measures, with significance values of the t test for paired samples of p = 0.05. The results showed that 64% increase trunk flexibility, a decreased of 12.5% and 23.7% did not suffer alterations. Therefore it concludes that the Mezieres method has a positive impact on the flexibility trunk of the subjects.Downloads
