Abstract

In the early nineties, many feminist thinkers and artists saw digital technologies as a sort of unexplored and promising territory for women. This paper challenges such an optimistic view of technological revolution: as some contemporary women artists have shown in their work, the expansion of transnational capitalism has brought up a clear deterioration in women labour conditions all over the world.
