Abstract

The article exposes de hypotheses and advances of the initial stage (the “transition”, 1985-1989) of a project of investigation related to the construction of democracy in Uruguay in the period running from march 1st. 1985, when the first constitutional government after dictatorship arrives, until march 1st. 2005, when the first government of the left in the history of the country overcomes.  Over the alleged regional reach of the spirit of transitions, along with the transitionship as the leading analytical and normative orientation in the 80´s, the disciplinary construction of democracy is explored, considered as a fulfilment of a regime of human rights, from the production of speeches of the social, political and juridical sciences, in a perspective of contribution to its evaluation.
