Abstract

The article displays four convergent axes for an integral understanding of the Being of the Other from an ethical-critical position. The first axis deals with it from modernity and the communicative action. The second axis interrogates it from the perpective of citizenship. The third axis introduces itself completely into the Being of the Other from alterity, presenting the ethical position of Emmanuel Levinas. Finally, the last axis analyzes it from diversity and the ethics of interculturality. It concludes with some thoughts on the challenge for education to contribute to the rescue of the Being of the Other.
