Abstract

The search for an environmental education based on principles of sustainability, is in the core of this author proposal. The art of educating implies, both for teachers and students to assume themselves as social and complex beings, immersed in a reality which demands a permanent compromise with the environment.. The freedom we can reach in the outer world -which we inhabit as interrelated bodies as well as with its media- has as a previous condition: the development of our inner freedom. This proposition implies an environmental education as a critical process of comunication and permanent re-elaboration of knowledge, where realities are built on the basis of peace and a future which is to be shared with all.
