Abstract

The author presents democracy as a complex concept and space, that needs definition, and that requires us to face its difficulties: fragility, diversity in thought, demand for respect, and threat of dogmatism, among others. Then he links democracy to education, in order to ask how education can be democratic, and argues that in education it is important to acquire a love for overcoming the real difficulties.
