The process of globalization which rages our planet resulted in a series of paradoxes and uncertainties for the human species. By impelling powerfully the production of goods and services and their international transactions, its expansion all over the corners of the world has increased the destruction of the environment and the nup-rooting of rural and native communities. The destabilization and rupture of traditional bonds of cooperation and solidarity left millions of people without any perspective of breaking-out from the vivious circle of poverty, ignorance and violence. Sartre taught us that human beings are born to be free; however, freedom means also responsability. By thinking and acting collectively on their reality, people transform it and thus, their life and destiny, finding meaning to their lives through the development of a culture of cooperation and solidarity.
