Abstract

This article covers a wide range of assumptions, ideas and problematizations on the cognitive and practical difficulties of the current historical juncture, delivers and deepens questions, provokes reflections, all geared to motivate a response for a way out of the crisis, and to generate conditions for sustainability. Topics such as the contradiction between unlimited growth and planetary limits, the inability of instrumental rationality to recognize "substantive rationality", the destructive orientation towards diversity and the search for solutions through changes in beliefs, are here presented.
