Yungay Center: Experiences of a Community Center in an academic insert

Abstract

The author presents Yungay Center as a formative realm, transverse and open, that, from the university, empowers and accompanies local communities in their development, promoting respect for human rights, self management, identity and diversity, giving a new meaning, from that practice, the discourse and action of college". Then it refers to the reasons and considerations that led to its creation, and states its history, mission, experience and present proposal.
