Abstract

Recent innovations in social theory are focused on the development of collaborative links with complexity theory. Of course, this approach implies a deep reconceptualization of the notion of “system” and various associated dynamics and processes. The article shows the extent to which the constructive synthesis between social theory and complexity theory allows both for a significant progress in the study and research of certain key sociological theoretical problems and of “global complexity” as well.
