Abstract

This study analyzes the participation of women in various forms of transgression with emphasis on violence and the perpetration of crimes in the Department of Temuco, for the period between 1884- 1924, from the analysis of records court belonging to the First court of Letters of such politicaladministrative unit. From its own studies on violence categories, gender history and cultural history approach, it aims to advance the analysis of the practices of law and possible relationships to
identify within that space part of a transitional phase between the process of incorporation of space and its population the national state and the installation phase and consolidation of institutions and own agents of that institution.
