Patrimonial objects: metaphysical considerations

Abstract

The article has as its objective the determination of the reality of patrimonial objects. In order to do this it reviews, in first place, the more general characteristics that are present in them through a metaphysical investigation: their semiological, structural and axiological condition, at the level of abstract formalities as well as empirical. Then, it incurs in their metaphysical condition as such, determining their reality in the context of a historical discussion that confronts differing conceptions of reality. In third place, an analysis of the dynamics of patrimony in this metaphysical condition, underscoring three key aspects: their realization as metaphor, their joint expression of emotion and memory, and it ends with some observations that bring to light their testimonial property, which due to its eminent provisional character is included as an annex.
