This text is the author's presentation at the Conference on the humanization of world economy, and debates the issue of globalization. He says that it is the product of a desire to improve our existence, and of decisions in favor of greater openness. Within this, recognizes that the disparity between the richest and the poorest is greater than ever and that poverty is the most pressing challenge in the moral sphere. Then develops more in-depth then the vision and actions of the IMF in the process and proclaims that it and the Catholic Church are global institutions with particular heritages and valuable influences, and whenever possible, must work together to make globalization more comprehensive and to fight against global poverty.
