Abstract

The author highlights the contributions social movements at a world scale for democratization and sustainability, particularly the women's movement, indigenous people and environmentalists. Discusses the importance of their contributions to a potential paradigmatic convergence towards "another possible world", delving into the concepts of sustainability and its interrelationship with gender perspective, ensuring that from an environmental view there is significant potential for convergence between the paradigms of gender and sustainability, without neglecting the existence of potential differences which she also exposes.
