The author notes that the wave of democratization in recent decades requires the conceptual precision of local governance, for which he develops an analysis about glocal economic governance, local governance, democratic governance and local government. He concludes arguing that the Constitutional State, the strengthening of civil society and the development of governance capacity contribute to the broadening and deepening of public space and the establishment of mechanisms of social control over public resources, so that the discussion of postnational democracy involves all citizens.
