Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the Chilean Congress in the foreign policymaking process, taking into account the transactional focus developed by Pablo Spiller and Mariano Tommasi (2000). In that regard, the main pupose of this paper is to underline the work of the Chilean Parliament, in particular of its Foreign Relations Commissions characterized by a permanence of its members and, consequently, by a specialized work which  favors a strong co-operation and intertemporary exchanges among legislators.
